Supported Living and Learning Disabilities
Independent Living
You can choose to live in your own flat with as much or little support as you need. This could be in one of our properties, or we can work with you and our housing partners to source a property that meets your needs.
Shared Living
We can help you connect with other people who might want to live independently too but aren’t yet ready to live alone. You will have your space but benefit from socialising with other like-minded people, sharing the communal spaces and sharing the cost of household bills
Apartment Living
You may be looking for the best of both worlds. Your own modern apartment with some shared communal space so you can choose when and if to socialise. We have worked with our housing partners to develop this popular type of accommodation.
Autism
Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a developmental disorder characterized by difficulties with social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior. Parents often notice signs during the first three years of their child’s life
Learning Disability
Specialised Behavioural support
This includes Attention Deficit Hyper-active Disorder (ADHD), Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), Visual Processing Disorder (VPD), Brain Injury and rehabilitation care.
Residents in Supported Housing
Residents in supported housing have their own tenancy agreements and rent their own home, while receiving support to build the confidence and skills needed to live independently.
Individuals are responsible for their own bills and cost of living, which is usually paid for by the benefits they receive and can be topped up by earnings from any employment.
Typically, people are ready to live independently or move on to alternative supported housing from between six months to two years.
Some of our supported housing services provide support with housing management only. This means residents receive only a few hours of support a week (depending on need) to maintain their tenancy.
Support may include how to manage antisocial behaviour or budgeting and managing rent and bills.
Happy Stories
Rachel is a lovely, pleasant and friendly lady. She been caring for my 90-year-old Dad for a couple of months now and we have no complaints. She’s punctual, professional and efficient. She genuinely cares about my Dad as an individual and in return he relies upon her and trusts her implicitly.
As far as the family is concerned, Rachel has continued the care that the Rapid Response Team started, in a seamless and responsible way and has made the transition very easy for us. I look forward to a long and happy relationship with her.
Janet Madison
I have always found the carers from Eureka Care Services to be extremely efficient, thoughtful and totally trustworthy. They are friendly, good at suggesting solutions to minor difficulties and keeping me informed of delays caused by weather or road conditions.
John Matthews
Since becoming a client of Eureka, I’ve received incredible support and care from Christina and her Manager Rachel Bello from day one.
